VOLLEY BALL!!!!

This school year is looking to be busy, busy...Lauren had her first volleyball game yesterday. She did a really good job...and was even able to score for her team with some of her serves. We are so proud that she tries new things all the time! Her team WON! Stay tuned for Trevor and Aubrey playing soccer sometime in September.

How cute is this????

Last Friday morning we were getting ready for school and work. Trevor had a paper that needed to be signed for school. Lauren showed her brother where he needed to sign, while waiting for me to sign the paper Trevor thought he would be helpful and add my name...MOM...then I signed the paper and Trevor decided that parent signature included Dad and since he was already at work Trevor wrote it in for him.

Randy Pausch ~ The Last Lecture

If ever there is a time for reflection on life, and dreams it is now. A friend of mine told me of Randy Pausch's Last Lecture on Saturday a day after he had passed away. With Jason out of town, and the kids spending the weekend at Nana's house (thank you Paulette!) I had the opportunity to watch Randy's Last Lecture on You Tube. The video is below, please know the hour and sixteen minutes is completely worth it. I know that I will watch it again, and again. Thank you Randy for allowing the world a glimpse in your wonderful life, I am saddened that it had to end so soon. My prayers are with your family, Jai, Chloe, Dylan, and Logan.

Rest in Peace Twit

We received an email from Patti yesterday that Twit had passed away....I had gotten Twit when she was just a kitten as a birthday present for my tenth birthday, she would have been 21 this year! She stayed with my dad when he moved in 1995 because Twit and TC were the bestest of friends, and it didn't make sense to break up the duo. My dad and Patti took such good care of her, and for that I am appreciative. I can't seem to get the picture from the email to attach but here is the message:

"It is with heavy hearts that we share the news today of Twit’s passing. She left us as she slept peacefully during the night. We knew Sunday morning that we were to this point by her lack of energy. Brina had done some research and told us that the average cat lives 8-12 years. Twit stayed for 20½ years. We thought T.C. living for 18 years was amazing. It will be some time before we get used to the idea that we won’t be coming around a corner and tripping over her! There will be a few moments of silence as we bury her beside T.C. this afternoon. As per her instructions, no formal service will be held. Enjoy this photo of her when she was in her prime."

Edited to add a picture that Patti sent.

1st Day of School!

Today was the first day of school for the kids....

Trevor is now in KINDERGARTEN! My baby is growing up so fast...

With daddy outside before school
With mommy before school
At the school...looking for the Kindercottage
Found the Kindercottage!
I had to go to work after dropping the kids off in the morning, but I promised to come back and take Trevor to class for the first day of kindergarten. Before going to kindergarten the kindercottage kids get to go eat lunch in the MPR, today was the first time Trevor got to buy hot lunch. Here he is in line after lunch...pointing to me..."That's my mom"
After I talked to the kindercottage teacher Trevor and I went to get his backpack. Then we were off to kindergarten, where we found Trevor's seat. He got to draw a picture of his family.
Mommy and TrevorAubrey started 3rd grade!

Outside of the classrooms...isn't she beautiful!
We found the classroom and her desk! Woo hoo! By the time Lauren and I were leaving Aubrey was already helping the teacher.
Sisters...I love it when they show each other love :) Aubrey had just seen me, I was leaving after walking Trevor to Kindergarten, and she was on the playground for lunch.A smile, an air kiss, and a thumbs up...looks like the day was going well so far!
Lauren is now in 8th grade...one more year and it's high school...
Last year she got accepted into the National Junior Honor Society...we are so proud!
She is so pretty...and before you know it she will be taller than me!
Lauren at Aubrey's class...no way was I allowed to take pictures at the middle school...
All and all everybody had a good day today. I really thought that I would cry when I took Trevor to school, but I didn't. I am sad that my babies are all growing up so fast. We are blessed to have smart, and well behaved children. I look forward to watching them grow and learn this year.

Lauren got to go on a wave runner for the first time with her daddy! Aubrey had a great time hamming it up for the camera. Here are some pics hope you enjoy! :)
